Discover what lies beneath the surface in Port Phillip Bay by learning to dive! Visit and interact with the diverse marine life found in the underwater world. Successful completion of the PADI Open Water Course at Bayplay’s dive school qualifies you to dive independently to a depth of 18 meters in open water. Your certificate is your internationally recognised passport to dive throughout the world!
Take advantage of PADI’s flexible online E-learning option by studying and completing all knowledge reviews, quizzes and final exam at home on your own time.
Open Water Course Details
Learn to Dive in 3 days! Visit us on the Mornington Peninsula in Portsea!
Duration: Full Weekend – Friday morning to Sunday afternoon
Times: 8:30am to 5:30pm
*Times and dates may vary based on the weather, tides and the group.
Please be available for the full duration of the weekend to receive the best out of your experience.
Participant Conditions:
A dive medical certificate may need to be completed by a certified dive doctor prior to you commencing the course. Please review the dive medical form carefully before committing to the open water course. We may cancel or request you reschedule if any medical conditions affecting your ability to dive are not disclosed before attending. Any foreseen medical conditions not addressed will result in a reschedule/cancellation fee as per our terms & conditions.

Important Notes:
- Minimum of 4 students for a course to run
- During Off Peak Season private courses are available
- Participants are required to bring their own mask, snorkel, booties and fins. This can be purchased from us at our Bayplay dive shop prior to the course.
- Travel insurance inclusive of diving is highly recommended
Are you limited on time or looking to do just part of your PADI Open Water?
Options are available, you can choose from E-Learning only, pool and theory only or 4 Open Water Dives (by referral).
The Course at a Glance

• Mask, snorkel, fins and boots – all available for purchase in our retail store
