Whether you would like to take a dip in the lake, fire up the BBQ or sit down by Stony Creek in your own hidden nook with a great book – this glamping experience is a great opportunity to connect with your environment and leave feeling rejuvenated.
Ease into a weekend away with everything set up for you, only requiring you to bring a torch or a lantern for your tent, your overnight bag and a sense of adventure.
Make your days as relaxed or adventure-filled as you desire, and spend your nights watching the sun set as you cosy up to your own private campfire (additional cost and subject to weather and season). There are also marine and land-based tours including diving, snorkelling, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, and bike riding that can be booked to make your stay even more special.

Q: When can we get access to the property, and when will we need to leave?
A: Access to Iluka Retreat is available from 4pm-6pm on your check in date. Late arrivals after dark EG: 9pm may incur a late arrival fee. Guest Check-out of Accommodation is 11am on day of departure.
Q: Can we check-in to the accommodation earlier or check-out later?
A: Depending on other bookings we may be able to extend your check-in or check-out times. Please email us with your request to see if we can allow early or late access.
Q: How do we check in?
A: When you drive into the retreat you will come across a house on your left-hand side. Please park your car just past the stairs and walk up to the office. If no one is at the window please ring the bell, if they do not respond please ring the phone number provided on the window.
Q: What is the property like?
A: Iluka retreat is a stunning oasis situated on 36 acres of rolling hills and valleys with a private lake. The property is steep and has uneven surfaces in certain areas. We recommend when walking around that you have appropriate footwear on. Please notify us if you require a tent closer to the facilities and we will try our best to accommodate.
Q: Are the Glamping Tents waterproof?
A: Yes, your glamping tent will stay completely dry on the inside.
Q: Is Iluka family friendly?
A: Absolutely, we love hosting families big or small. We have two group lodges for large family reunions that can hold up to 50+ guests. Our glamping tents can hold a maximum of 4 people per tent, perfect for the smaller family getaway. Please note there is extra fee of $60 per person for additional guests in Glamping Tents.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Iluka is a registered land for wildlife, so we are unable to host your fury friends.
Q: Is there WIFI at the Accommodation?
A: We offer a back to nature experience, so there is no Wi-Fi available. Most guests prefer to switch off and enjoy time with their group in the moment. There is limited network coverage on the property, the strength will depend on your provider. If internet access is a necessity, we recommend bringing a dongle.
Q: Where can I park? Is parking right next to my glamping tent possible?
A: We will advise you on where the closest designated area is. Please note there is strictly no parking on the grass areas. There is no parking available right next to your tents.
Q: Can we swim in the lake?
A: The lake on the property is a great way to cool off and have some fun in the water. It is safe for swimming for all guests so make sure you bring your bathers! All persons under the age of 18 must be always supervised by an adult. SUPs and canoes are available to hire for groups, you must book this prior to your check in date.
Q: Are heaters available in the Glamping Tents?
A: We provide hot water bottles or heat bags in all our tents, which can be heated up in the Della Camp Kitchen, as well as lots of cosy woolen blankets.
Q: Can we hire a firepit?
A: Large and small private firepits are available between non-fire danger periods and if the weather permits. They must be booked in advance and bookings depend on firepit availability. They include a Firepit, wood and firelighters – please ask us for up-to-date pricing.
Q: Is linen provided in the glamping tents?
A: All linen is included for Glamping Guests including fitted sheet, flat sheet, doona, pillow cases and towels.
Q: Can our guests camp in their own personal tents?
A: Camping in your own tents is accepted for exclusive/private groups and education groups only.
Q: Can we bring our own Caravans/Campervans?
A: Campervans or Caravans are only accepted for exclusive use groups and are allocated to park in the Warrawong carpark.
Q: What essentials do I need to bring along?
A: Please remember to bring the following:
– An extra torch or lantern as the glamping tents are unpowered. We do provide battery lanterns but highly suggest bringing a torch, so you are able to walk around the retreat safely at night.
– Bug repellent to enable you to be able to sit outside and enjoy the scenery in peace.
– Your own food and drink to the retreat. There are no onsite cafes, but there is a communal kitchen for all guests use. If you are wishing to go out for dinner the retreat is right next door to Pier 10 winery and other restaurants
– Warm clothes, comfortable walking shoes, swim wear and a towel if you plan to swim in the lake
Q: What are the facilities like?
A: All facilities are gender neutral and shared between all guests, they include hot showers and toilets. We have two bathroom blocks both situated by the Glamping tents. We also have a communal camp kitchen.
Q: What is included in the camp kitchen? Do I need to bring my own utensils?
A: The Kitchen is shared amongst guests, it includes a communal fridge, stove top and BBQs. There are utensils for your use, but we do recommend bringing your own if you require anything specific.
Things to Do
Q: What activities do we have access to?
A: We have some great activities on site at Iluka for you to undertake! Activities available to utilize during your stay include: Challenge Valley Obstacle Course, Onsite Discovery Walks around the lake and to Pipehenge and the Hilltop. We can also facilitate for groups: Canoeing and/or Stand-Up Paddle boarding on the Lake, Raft Building, Tree-Climbing, Bush Cooking, Nature Art. We can supply an instructor with minimum 7 days prior notice – please contact us for current pricing and availability.
Q: Where can I eat, drink, explore or visit in the area?

Q: Are there any noise restrictions?
A: The Shire has a code of conduct and local laws that need to be followed. We are on a large property but still need to respect our neighbours, so we have a 10pm limit on noise and request noise to be minimized by this time. This is to ensure all guests and neighbours are not disturbed, and everyone can have an enjoyable experience. Under the Environment Protection Act, police have the power to deal with noise complaints. Failing to comply can result in hefty fines.
